Introducing Plantation Chiropractor Dr. Richard Pomella

Plantation Chiropractor, Dr. Richard PomellaFor years I suffered from neck pain that radiated into my arms and had recieved all types of treatment with no result untill I was referred to a chiropractic physician, who was finally able to provide some relief.

This was the beginning of the journey to becoming a chiropractic physician.

I went to undergtraduate school at University of Massachusetts Boston and recieved my degree in Business Administration and continued on to recieve my Doctorate of Chiropractic at Life University in Marrietta, Ga. As I went through school I realized that it was my calling in life to become a chiropractor.

We love skeptics as well as the patients that have tried all other types of treatment without successful results and who look at chiropractic as a last resort. We take the time to explain the philosophy behind chiropractic, help the patient understand their injuries and we make all our patients feel comfortable with there decision to choose a natural, non-invasive treatment in their search for health.

I have been and am still an athlete with a competative personality and have been very active in many sports throughout my life (football, wrestling, bodybuilding and powerlifting) and still continue that healthy lifestyle. This experience helps most athletes feel more comfortable with my knowledge of sports.

I maintain a healthy lifestyle through continued chiropractic care, proper diet/nutrition and exercise.

Dr. Richard Asks some important questions of interest to Plantation residents - Chiropractor Plantation Dr. Richard Asks...

Do chiropractors prescribe medications for the pain?
No. Chiropractic is a drug-free approach to better health. Instead, we rely on natural methods. We can show you how to use ice to control pain. When properly applied, ice can have an analgesic effect without the unwanted and sometimes dangerous effects of pain medications.
Is a muscle spasm a cause or an effect?
With the knee-jerk use of muscle relaxers, you'd think it was a cause. But it's an effect. Chiropractors know that bones don't move unless muscles move them. And muscles don't contract unless commanded by the nervous system. That's why your nervous system is the focus of our Plantation chiropractic practice.
